Regular readers will know I'm a one (or occasionally two) posts a day man, so today, having three is pretty much unheard of, but I feel the need to talk about the SuperSwarmUK attempt. (What is he blathering on about now? -Ed)
The folks at FourSquare Festival are going for a UK first. They're attempting to unlock the SuperSwarm badge in foursquare at the Cheltenham Literature Festival on the 9th of October, 2010. And what's the SuperSwarm badge? That's what you're awarded with when 250 people (or more) all checkin on foursquare at the same place at the same time.
Between March 2010 and July 2010 there were only 20 events worldwide which have successfully achieved it, so let's stop pussy footing around and show the rest of Foursquare what the UK (and more importantly, Gloucestershire) can do.
If you're not on Foursquare yet, you probably should be. There's bargains to be had (if you want to save a bob or two), badges to collect (if you're a 'collecting' kind of person) and it'll help you keep track of your friends and family aswell. All the stuff you really need to know about it is here at Foursquare 101.
So for now, sign up to 4square, put Saturday the 9th of October in your diary, register on the FourSquare Festival website and join the Swarm in Cheltenham next month. See you there.
