Detectiving 2

Thank heavens for a Sunday. A day of rest and recuperation was kind of required after Saturday’s beer and win and feeling fine. So it didn’t;t take much pusuasion for either me or Mrs Allen to not do very much at all for a change.

That’s not to say that we did nothing, there’s always something.

  • Lumped the armchair from the living room to the guest bedroom for instance.
  • Generally tidied up a bit.
  • Selected something yummy from “The Pinch of Nom” and cooked. (A delicious Keema Pie – kind of curry version of a cottage pie – and bloody lush it was, too)

Oh yeah… and watched “The Stranger” on Netflix in it’s entirety… Oh dear. This is a terrible thing to do, and not at all healthy to sit on the sofa all day… but it was good.

To be fair, that’s exactly what this type of TV is designed to do. To keep you glued to the sofa, watching their show full of product placement or with regular ad breaks. Of Netflix doesn’t do this things, because your flat out paying a subscription, but all in good time. Give it a few years and the greed will set in. I digress.

…And I managed to watch episode 1 of Agatha Christie’s “The Pale Horse”, which as you’ll know from the book of Revelation (6:8), or more likely from Terry Pratchett’s “Mort”, is the steed that is ridden by Death. In this version though, it’s the name of a pub.

And here we all are on a Monday – back to the start of another week.

Stay safe
